"I'd like a great life, not a mediocre life..." - Krishna De

At one point during my BlogTalk Radio show with Krishna De she surprised me with:

I'd like a great life, not a mediocre life.

She surprised me with the passion and spontaneity when she said it. Don't get me wrong. Passion and spontaneity are not surprising with Krishna De. She's not Europe's leading Employer Branding, Personal Branding and Social Media Strategists because she's bored or she'll bore you. Far from it.

What surprised me was its timing along with the passion and spontaneity of it. We were talking a bit about how she came to this point in her life: Europe's number one employer and personal branding expert. And her boss/mentor/friend who quoted the statistic that 80% of employees don't feel their strengths are put into play at work.

And she looked at the passions, and her strengths, and the research in Now Discover Your Strengths. She realized what HUGE potential is available by tapping into our strengths and the strengths of our colleagues. And she says:

I don't know about you Zane, but I'd like a great life, not a mediocre life.

BAM! How many professionals, how many of our friends, will suddenly open up and share their life goals with you? And that's what Krisha talks about when she talks that a brand is an emotional connection. It's based not on a promise, but on what's delivered.

And Krishna delivered a delightful connection with me on our show that day. I think when you listen to it, you'll find the same.
