My Health Care Is Killing Me
No this isn't my usual rage or whine about our health care system. It's not a lament from a personal experience in the belly of the beast. My Health Care is Killing Me is...a well-written resource for those like me, a consumer of our health care system, who look for help and hope as we navigate the maze of players who provide the services and the billing and the restrictions and yes, sometimes, quite often, the excellent care (if you can afford it, find it, negotiate with it...) that make up our health care system.
The authors are more succinct. They call it a survival guide for the American healthcare consumer. I agree.
My Health Care Is Killing Me is written by real people for real people. You can read about the authors and their organization, Change: Healthcare. It's organized to help, to inform, to provide community ( let us know we're not alone...), to give actionable steps you can do right now to improve your own experience (save money, find better care) with our health care system. See my earlier post, Health Care Victories: Negotiate. That's just one and it's found in the first few paragraphs.
JenMcCabeGorman twittered that she was reading this. I'm so glad she did. You'll be glad she did, too.
Oh. Did I mention that the book was free as a PDF download? It is.
