I collect these links each week using my Tumblr site. Most of the links are from those I follow at Twitter. With that, I present you...
* Social Media by the Numbers. Yeah. More metrics measuring the spread of social media's use. It's a sincere yeah. The more social media's use is quantified with metrics meaningful to decision-makers (aka the ones who write the checks to social media consultants...) the faster those same businesses will embrace social media and the consultants delivering its power.
All these measurements with all these metrics is having an impact:

... why aren’t some businesses leveraging social media outlets? I think a lot has to do with the adoption period one goes through when beginning to use something new, it just takes time.
See first link in this post. As social media's matured, strengthened, been experienced, been used, been failed, and now being measured in metrics meaningful to those increasingly outside the echo chamber...its use will spread and spread faster as we see it happening now.
