A few things about Steve:
* He's an amazing public speaker. I think he used PowerPoint slides. I can't remember. I was too engaged with his words, his presentation, his engagement and interaction with the audience and how seamlessly and spontaneously he presented.
Of the many presentations I've seen at conferences...I'd put Steve's in the top 5. Outstanding content, useful content, inspiring content. He's mastered the content. He's fluent in its presentations. He's passionate about the topic and his purpose: helping grow true leaders.
* He's an excellent author. I read a lot of books. But I rarely read one straight through. Greater Than Yourself was a book that...ok, started for me a bit slow (that may be from my high expectations) but within a few pages I was compelled to finish the book. I don't do compell well. But I was compelled by the story and the principles shared.
Ultimately, his book surpassed my expectations. And it's more than theory illustrated with a great story. Steve offers tips and resources to help us become Greater Than Yourself.
