Talking with Phil Simon - Author of The New Small

Phil Simon, is the author of a great new book titled: The New Small: How a New Breed of Small Businesses Is Harnessing the Power of Emerging Technologies. He joins our radio show tomorrow at 9:30 AM, Central.

This is his 3rd book. His previous two titles are Why New Systems Fail (Cengage, 2010), The Next Wave of Technologies (John Wiley & Sons, 2010).

He consults companies on how to optimize their use of technology. While not consulting, Phil speaks about emerging trends and technologies. He also writes for a number of technology-oriented media outlets. He received a BS in policy and management from Carnegie Mellon University and a master’s in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University.

I found The New Small: How a New Breed of Small Businesses Is Harnessing the Power of Emerging Technologies amazing. It's well-written. Phil's included many resources with each chapter. And each chapter profiles a company in how they used some of those resources and what were the results for their company.

Phil will share his insights, resources, and tools small businesses can use today to harness this power from these new technologies to help survive, sustain and grow.

We'll try to share some profiles of companies who successfully embraced new technologies and those who failed.

We'll walk away with some tips and steps you can do today!
