Online Olympics for Everyone...who Uses MS Vista

That's right. You can download and watch any event from this summer's Olympics. Any event. For free. Well, it's free if you have Windows Vista as your operating system. Or more particular, it's free if you have 1 of 2 versions of Windows Vista: Home Premium and Ultimate.

Otherwise, like the several billion of us who use other operating systems like Windows XP or Mac or Linux...you'll have to watch it old-school...on TV.

Oh. And you have to download a separate video player.

That's a bit different than CBS and their online March Madness package that requires no additional downloads (other than the standard Flash-player we all seem to have now) and works with seemingly all operating systems AND delivers an excellent experience.

The company behind the required video player says their target market is pretty big: 100 million units of Windows Vista shipped already. Huh. So how would you describe the market comprised of several billion units of Windows XP, Apple operating systems and Linux? Much bigger?  A weeee-bit bigger. A li'l bigger. Somewhat larger.
