Thursday's the day I focus my blogs on ...innovation. That requires a little bit of innovation from my side to keep the content fresh, interesting, compelling maybe.
I'm out of ideas for the moment. Oh there are some percolating in the back of my mind. And I'm struggling to articulate them coherently concisely.
But, that's part of the innovation process. Big breakthroughs are often signaled in advance by big obstacles, problems, roadblocks, even writer's block.
I'm not saying today's that signal. I am saying that sometimes innovation happens on its schedule. It's one of life's little ironies. Just when we need innovation, innovation...maybe doesn't need us.
I'm patient. I'll persist. I'm noodling around some ideas. Drafts are sitting incomplete. I'll go for a run this morning to stir things up. I've got projects to finish. I'm almost done with my first ebook. I've got a plan to execute on that.
When innovation doesn't happen for you, what do you do? When creativity is needed and it's disappeared from you, or your group, what do you do to bring it back?
