Innovation can be effective when accomplished in small steps. Incremental refinements that when taken together after a period of time can be seen to have created a powerful, new, product totally distinct from the original.
And sometimes, innovation can catch you by surprise when polar opposites attract and connect, and something crazier and greater and mesmerizing results...in one fell swoop.
This mashup of Gwen Stefani's Hollaback Girl and the Soggy Bottom Boys' A Man of Constant Sorrow is just that. I mean...who'd a thunk these two could mashup for something...better? Definitely, a whole greater than the sum of its parts results. Check it out.

And how would you mash them up?
You may just find a new product or market or company or service or....revenue source. And the exercise will be fun.
