Fred’s got some wisdom to share having started 2 successful companies and having authored a great book, The Lazy Way to Success. You can listen to our conversation here on BlogTalk Radio.
We ended the conversation with:
5 Keys for Startup Success (And a bonus tip)
- TM in the AM and PM. Transcendental Meditation, twice a day; morning and evening. Settles the mind, relieves stress, boosts creativity, strengthens focus, keeps you healthy and flexible.
- Passion - Love what you do. MUST love what you do.
- Figure out what you love to give that fills your soul with joy. [I love the phrasing. Your soul is filled by the joy of what you give. So...find what you love to give and give it all and...the reward is a soul filled with joy. Puts the Golden Rule in a new light...a joyous light.]
- Collaborate with funny, loving, flexible people. [I think that’s key. You can’t give what you love to give if you’re giving to people who are...dead: unfunny, unloving, inflexible...and expect it to fill your soul with joy. Doing unto others constantly who can’t do back to you...never works. Even for saints.]
- Have Fun, Have Fun, Have Fun!
- Bonus Tip: Serve them lots of ice cream.
