Going against centuries of assumption about the brain power of moms are the results of a new study published by the American Psychological Association showing that the brains of new mothers actually grow, especially when they tend to gush over their perfect little offspring. via holykaw.alltop.com
It makes sense. A new born baby...you feel alive, even holding one for a moment. Brain tingles, you smile, you engage, you're alert to them, what's around the both of you. You're learning them, their world, creating your world's together.
And, I'm not a mom.
I wonder if this same experience is found in entrepreneurs with their babies: their startups. Brain tingles, you smile with anticipation and excitement about the day, about what you can accomplish, you're engaged, you're alert to the needs of your new baby...you're learning from them, you're creating a new world together.
Disclaimer: By no means do I compare the gift of motherhood nor its costs or joys with that of a startup entrepreneur. On the other hand, it seems the two share some things. Right?
