“What we think is happening,” said Mark Beeman, a neuroscientist who conducted the study with Karuna Subramaniam, a graduate student, “is that the humor, this positive mood, is lowering the brain’s threshold for detecting weaker or more remote connections” to solve puzzles. via www.nytimes.com
Laugh more. Find more connections.
Laugh more. Make more connections stronger.
Imagine the connections within your company. Where are the weak ones, the remote ones? How would your company change if those weak, remote connections, were found and strengthened?
Would your employee turnover rate change?
Would the number of mistakes change?
Would your sales conversion rate increase?
Would you see an increase in the percentage of your employees that are emotionally and intellectually engaged with their work?
Going to see if i can set up some practical joke right now ;-) need a good laugh! Ha ha.
